"Warranty Help Was a Drag"
I bought a part from RockAuto and it ended up failing while it was still under warranty. When I reached out, I kept getting the same canned replies and had to fill out forms that didn’t really lead anywhere. It felt like they were just dragging that whole thing out and hoping I’d stop trying. No real support, no simple replacement, just a frustrating experience overall.

"I ordered a couple parts from RockAuto…"
I ordered a couple parts from RockAuto and when the box showed up, it was beat up. One of the parts was basically just loose inside with barely any padding. Luckily nothing was actually broken, but it definitely looked like it came close. And it’s not even about the box looking rough — I get that shipping can be hard on packages. It’s more that for car parts, I’d expect them to be packed a little more securely. The prices are fine, but the packaging makes me hesitant to order again anytime soon.

I accidentally ordered the wrong part, which was on me, but trying to return it turned into a hassle. I’ve dealt with parts orders before, so I know mistakes happen, but having to pay for return shipping made it feel like I lost money just trying to fix a simple mix-up.

The parts showed up in good shape, so no complaints there. The only thing was the delivery estimate was off by two days, and that’s kind of annoying when you’re trying to plan repairs. Seems like shipping estimates are never actually right, but at least everything arrived okay in the end.

I like that I can look back and see my old orders, which is useful. The only thing is the login process can be annoying sometimes. I’m not sure if it’s just me or the app acting up, but it doesn’t always feel as smooth as it should...

"Finding parts feels harder than it should"
RockAuto usually has the parts I need, but i feel like I have to work way too hard just to find them. The menus aren’t impossible to use, but they’re cluttered and kind of outdated, so I end up clicking around forever like it’s somehow on me to figure out their maze. I usually get there in the end, but it really shouldn’t feel this frustrating just to buy a part.

I grabbed a few parts and they seemed cheap, which was nice. They fit fine from what I could tell, no real issues there. The only thing is the shipping kind of added up more than I expected, so that was a little annoying.

I ordered some brake parts because the site showed they were in stock, but two days later I got an email saying one of them actually wasn’t available. From the tone of the message, it kind of felt like this was just a normal thing and not a big deal, but it ended up being a hassle for me. I had to place another order from a different warehouse and pay extra shipping. The parts may be fine, but the site really needs better stock updates...

I ordered parts that were listed as available, only to be told a few days later they couldn’t ship because they were actually out of stock. This has happened before, so it’s getting frustrating. If the parts aren’t in stock, just update the site so people don’t waste time waiting.

I was looking to compare some of the more known brands for my car, but on RockAuto there just wasn’t much there. Mostly it was brands I never heard of, which made it kind of hard to trust what to buy. So after looking around a bit, I just gave up and ordered from somewhere else.

This used to be my go-to spot for cheap parts, but lately, give me a break, once you add shipping, the prices are about the same as everywhere else, sometimes even higher. They still have a huge selection, which is nice, but it’s not always the great deal it looks like at first.

The parts themselves are good, and to be fair, everything did arrive safely in the end. The downside was that international shipping took longer than I expected, and the tracking was a bit confusing along the way. Overall, not a bad experience, but it wasn’t totally smooth either. 3 stars.

I ordered a reman alternator and paid the core charge upfront. Sending the old one back was easy enough since they provided the label, so no real issue there. I did have to wait about 10 days for the refund to finally show up, which was a little annoying, honestly. But to be fair, it did come back just like they said it would.

I ordered the part based on their fitment guide, but it still didn’t fit my car. Trying to return it turned into a whole hassle, and I kept having to verify the same information over and over, which got really frustrating. Definitely not the smooth experience I was hoping for...

I ordered the wrong brake part. My fault. Started the return and figured it was going to be a whole thing, like most places. But RockAuto showed the refund processing fast. Then the money was back on my card in a couple days. No back-and-forth, no extra emails, no chasing anyone down. happy with how smooth it was
